Overview
THERESA COLE fell in love with fantasy as a teenager, starting with The Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot ignited her intrigue for vampires, and paranormal romance by authors such as J.R. Ward and Lara Adrian quickly became her vice of choice.
After decades of devouring words, Theresa made the obvious choice to pursue a career in publishing and has now been working in the industry since 2009, both with highly esteemed publishers and on a freelance basis. Most recently an Acquiring Editor for both City Owl Press and Mystic Owl and Senior Copy Editor for Mystic Owl, she’s edited across many genres and worked with several award-winning authors. Theresa specializes in romance (for all ages and including all heat levels) and all of its sub-genres, including paranormal, fantasy, science fiction, magical realism, contemporary, etc., and urban fantasy, but she always enjoys any story with compelling characters and an interesting plot.
Theresa still resides in Michigan’s tip of the mitt, where she was born and raised. Wife to the best husband ever and mom to five fab men, she loves sunshine, coffee, camping, and motorcycle riding. You can email her at and find her on Twitter at @TheresaMCole.

“Finding a good editor, one that gets you and your story, one with the knowledge and training to help make your book the best it can be, is often a daunting task. I was fortunate enough to find Theresa via a recommendation, and the end result is something I’m very proud of. I’ve worked with Theresa on two occasions and would recommend her to anyone who takes their writing seriously enough to do what needs to be done to make it top notch. Besides being an utmost professional, Theresa is friendly and a ton of fun to work with, which helps to make the rocky road of publishing a little smoother." ~Elle J. Rossi, Author
"I needed a rush, last-minute edit job for a short story, and Theresa was there in a flash. She responds to emails quickly and communicates very well. My story was delivered back to me in enough time to where I could incorporate her edits. Theresa follows the Chicago Manual of Style, is very good at finding small errors and typos, and she loves commas as much as I do! I will definitely be using her for future projects." ~Chaeya, Author
"I have used Theresa Cole's services for many books. She is a pleasure to work with, efficient, professional, and organized. I'm very happy with her services and would highly recommend her--as a matter of fact, I have!" ~Cathryn Fox, NYT and USA Today bestselling author
