Overview
Hello,
I'm a French Award-winning children's book illustrator who earned a distinction from ECV Art School in Paris before moving to London 15 years ago, which led me to work in publishing and advertising.
I'm fond of anything silly, funny and colourful. Daft can also be cute. I infuse "the cute factor and lightheartedness" in all my work dialling the funny up or down, so your illustrations are tailored to the age group in mind. Colours can make us feel wonderful inside. Ink & Watercolour is a wonderful technique, definitely my favourite, and I do love the playfulness of bold flat colours a digital illustration can offer. Nowadays, I'm a freelance illustrator & Art director. The two crafts have given me the necessary skills to design impactful front cover designs.
The British Art Council awarded me a grant to illustrate a personal project during covid. My first picture book, Count the Sheep to Sleep, was published by Sky Pony Press. And my second book, Beb the Bad Easter Bunny featured in Barnes & Noble's Easter Octagon as one of their top picks. The Ode to a Pug series (three books now), was made on Reedsy and is now selling on Barnes & Noble. I also illustrate educational and humorous picture books for an independent publishing house in London.
Would love to hear about your story, book or illustration project!
Au revoir,
Steph ☀️
