I'm a novelist (three books with HarperCollins; the first, Mysterious Skin, was made into a 2005 film); besides writing, I also work as a freelance editor, copyeditor, and proofreader (I am currently freelancing for Kensington; in the past, I worked with Simon & Schuster, Crown, and others). I have edited novels and story collections, specializing in literary fiction, LGBTQ fiction, and occasional mysteries / true crime. Currently, I am offering my copyediting / proofreading services and occasional help with fiction editing.
