Overview
I've worked in arts publishing for 5 years, first at a gallery in New York City and now I am working as a freelancer.
My favorite part of editing is that I am always learning something new! I've developed a unique relationship to artists, writers, and curators that I may not have been able to otherwise. For that to happen along with the excitement of polishing a book, strengthening its message, and getting it out in the world is deeply rewarding.
I have a B.A. in English and Art History from University of Missouri, Columbia, and a M.S. in the Theory, History, and Criticism of Art from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
Professionally, I have worked with a diverse range of artists, publishers, and creators as Press & Publications Manager for DC Moore Gallery in NYC, and as now as a freelancer. I am familiar with different types of publishing processes, editing styles, and am comfortable with fast paced schedules and deadlines should the project require it.

I focus on developmental editing, copy editing, and proofreading for monographs, surveys, and exhibition catalogues. I've worked on contract with large publishing houses as well as galleries to manage and assist with tasks required to keep books on schedule for their print date.
DC Moore Gallery
Oversaw all books published by the gallery and worked on every aspect, from big picture to fine details, while maintaining and sticking to a rigorous publication schedule.
