Overview
I've worked in arts publishing for 5 years, first at a gallery in New York City and now I am working as a freelancer.
My favorite part of editing is that I am always learning something new! I've developed a unique relationship to artists, writers, and curators that I may not have been able to otherwise. For that to happen alongside the excitement of polishing a book, strengthening its message, and getting it out in the world is deeply rewarding.
I have a B.A. in English and Art History from University of Missouri, Columbia, and a M.S. in the Theory, History, and Criticism of Art from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
Professionally, I have worked with a diverse range of artists, publishers, and creators as Press & Publications Manager for DC Moore Gallery in NYC, and as now as a freelancer. I am familiar with different types of publishing processes, editing styles, and am comfortable with fast paced schedules and deadlines should the project require it.
