Laurie Dennison

Laurie Dennison – Editor

Literary agent, editor, and publishing consultant specializing in upmarket fiction, romance, young adult, and commercial nonfiction.

Overview

I’m a literary agent, writer, editor, and publishing consultant with over a decade of experience helping authors achieve their publishing goals.

I have a BA in English and a Master’s in English education from the University of Florida, where I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. I also have a graduate level certification in online instructional design from Florida State University, and I completed the Denver Publishing Institute at the University of Denver. I’ve worked as a freelance writer and editor across nonfiction and fiction genres and categories, providing developmental editing, line editing, and publishing consulting services for both independent and traditionally published authors. I served as a Pitch Wars mentor for five years, and my experience with the program helped me discover my love of championing authors. I joined Creative Media Agency as an associate literary agent in 2023, and I am now a frequent instructor and panelist at writing conferences across the country, combining my love for books, the writing community, and education.

I see my services as a collaboration to help authors reach their full potential and bring their stories to life. I bring the perspective of a literary agent with a comprehensive view of the current market alongside the craft and care of an experienced writer, editor, and teacher.

*Please note that I am not able to consider Reedsy clients for representation in my capacity as a literary agent.
