Overview

Illustrator for YA and MG markets. I love to illustrate everything from fantasy to non-fiction, wherever there's a good story and characters to bring to life. My timeliness, positive attitude, and creative problem solving have earned me my returning clients (Elevate Pictures, Pawn Creative, Columbus Museum of Art, just to name a few), and I am resolute in seeing a project through to perfection!

Work experience

Freelance Illustrator

Self-employed
May, 2016 – Present (almost 5 years)

Storyboard Artist and Illustrator

Pawn Creative
August, 2018 – Present (over 2 years)

Pawn Creative has allowed me to work on several exciting and challenging projects which have helped me grow as an illustrator. The first project I worked on was development work for "Better Things" by FX, as well as storyboarding for an NDA project that was also by FX.

Development Artist

Elevate Pictures
September, 2017 – Present (over 3 years)

My relationship with Elevate is a thriving one, and I am deeply thankful for the work they have allowed me to take on. The first project I worked with them on was as a development artist creating storyboards, character designs and mood boards to begin pre-visualization for a short film. This in turn has led to repeat projects with this client, the most recent of which I worked as a penciler on a MG comic series called "Ultrasquad", which is published through Justice.

The Chocolate Gossp Party: The Fairy Ring (Chocolate Gossip Party)

Rebecca Carr Schrodt

Taylor May Dawson makes up a story to win a gossip contest. She had no idea how much trouble one little lie could cause. Dealing with her chocolate recipe mistakes was one thing. Saving her two best friends and younger brother from certain disaster was another. Why is it so important for Taylor to win the contest? Is her dead neighbor .....actually dead? Are Faires real?

Josh did a great job creating the old-fashioned pen and inks I need for my boys' adventure series. He was right on time and communicated well.

Josh was prompt, professional, courteous, responsive and, above all, talented. I will definitely collaborate with him in the future if the project is a god fit for us both.
