My thirty-plus years of editing all types of publications, combined with seven years solely in book publishing, have given me unique insight into crafting messages and targeting audiences. I've contracted with five different publishers, the most prominent being Dexterity Collective, Nashville. Another group I've worked with, Bloom in the Dark, LLC, has emerged into an international media ministry as a publisher, television network, and writer/leadership development platform for those who have overcome great odds through their faith. Additionally, I've worked with clergy, addiction recovery coaches, television personalities, singer/songwriters, and just people wanting to make a difference. These partnerships have given me an opportunity to serve as: 1) project manager for books, ensuring their completion from beginning to end, 2) writing workshop trainer, 3) editor and proofreader, and 4) book marketing representative , Most importantly, I understand publishing needs from a publisher's viewpoint, as well as an author's.As an accredited public relations professional, I've trained authors on strategic book marketing through Booksgosocial, an international network of more than 15,000 authors and based out of Ireland. My professional media relations experience, along with my personal challenges of great loss, have positioned me to interview for newspapers and on television and radio stations internationally. I am advocate for a healthy mind, body, and spirit approach to living, as well as suicide awareness and prevention. My inspirational stories of overcoming adversity have been published in numerous book anthologies through publishers including Guideposts and Bethany House, When not writing, you may find me on family land looking for anything I can use to repurpose for my vintage farmhouse. My editorial assistant is my nine-year Boston Terrier dog, who encourages me to carry on.
