Overview

I'm Gabrielle, an illustrator and pluviophile based in Milan, Italy.
I began my journey as an artist in 2015, when I dropped out of University to pursue a freelance career.
I first gained attention thanks to illustrations inspired by known fantasy series. Now I collaborate with authors and bookish boxes.

Although I started painting to become a concept artist, I ended up discovering a totally different aspect of art which is book illustration. Inspired first by artists of Disney's Golden Age like Eyvind Earle and then illustrators of fantasy and science fiction like Jason Chan and Dan Dos Santos, today I work on illustrations that feature fantasy characters, surreal colour compositions and storytelling.

When I'm not drawing, I'm reading dark fantasy novels and drinking tea.

Gabrielle was wonderful to work with! She shared several concepts and was open to changes as we went. She was even willing to take on a bigger task than we'd originally discussed as the vision became clearer for me. It was an absolute pleasure to work with her, and her professionalism was on point. I cannot wait to work with her on future projects, and feel blessed to have the opportunity to wo...

Gabrielle was great to work with! She took my ideas into account but incorporated her own stylistic choices and interpretations seamlessly. She was very understanding of my own shortcomings as a young author very new to the process, which was much appreciated.

The cover I wanted was sort of complicated, but Gabrielle worked with me until she had every detail. It came out incredible. Worth every cent. I'll definitely use her services again.

I am in love with it and would certainly use her services again. This was my first time working with a cover artist and Gabrielle reassured me and helped me through this project. Would recommend to any YA Fantasy author loo...

I was very pleased by the collaboration with Gabrielle. She follows a great process that ensures plenty of input from authors along the way. I cannot imagine things working any better. And the final result exceeded all of my expectations. Gabrielle does great work at a good price, and she is very responsive in her communications. I highly recommend Gabrielle to any other author.
