"Bryony is a magician of an editor. She has the rare skill and confidence to really get into a manuscript, detect and even fix structural problems while leaving the heart and voice of the writing intact. It was after Bryony had edited my manuscript that I was able to get a contract with my agent and sell my novel. I cannot recommend her enough." Isabelle Dupuy, Author

"After working with Bryony on several projects, I cannot imagine hiring another editor. Her attention to detail is excellent, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Publishing a book can be a stressful endeavor, but Bryony makes it fun and exciting. She is passionate about what she does, and this shines through in every aspect of her work. Hire her, and let her help you take your story to a whole new level." James Michael Rice, Author

My writing career began as the co-author of eight celebrity biographies with Lucy Ellis, published by Random House, Virgin Books, Aurum Press, Ebury Press, Omnibus Press, Music Sales, Hannibal, Birmar, and Heel Verlag. Together we were called "professional storytellers" by The Guardian, "very professional" by Film Review, "immensely readable" by The Beat Goes On, "detailed" by Sunday Express, and "insightful" by OK! Magazine. As a ghostwriter, I have written for personalities from the professional worlds of music and sport, covering subjects ranging from anorexia to addiction and abuse.

I'm now a freelance book editor with over twenty years' publishing experience, and I love collaborating on psychological thrillers, crime thrillers, science fiction, dystopian fiction, urban fantasy, historical fiction, women's and contemporary fiction. Within non-fiction, I specialize in memoirs, lifestyle how-tos, health and well-being, celebrity, and entertainment titles. I relish working on series and keeping a keen eye on continuity, ongoing character and theme development, and plot arc across multiple related books.

Writing can be a solitary experience, and I find nothing more rewarding than fostering a creative and supportive long-term partnership with my authors, whether this is played out across a trilogy or numerous standalone titles. Whether you're perfecting your manuscript for agency submission, embarking on a self-publishing journey, or you're an established author seeking a fresh perspective, I will provide friendly, constructive feedback alongside thorough developmental editing and crisp copy editing.

Annie Lennox: The Biography

Lucy Ellis

The definitive biography of one of pop music's most private stars. Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics has always been an enigma, ill at ease with the trappings of fame, and giving away little about herself, but now the writers have given her the biography she deserves: compelling, sympathetic, unflinching and fair.

Geoffrey Bloom
I’m in awe of Bryony’s developmental editing of my adventure thriller. She quickly wrapped her mind around the complicated 177,000-word story and came back with an 85-page report with astute and insightful suggestions, along with helpful comments throughout my manuscript. Her engagement, enthusiasm, praise, and gracious delivery of constructive guidance made her an absolute pleasure to work wi...

This is my second project working with Bryony and was even more enlightening than our first journey. She is always the professional. No nonsense approach. Gives practical advice to help the author improve their weaknesses and is patient with even the dumbest question. I believe I have learnt more from Bryony's editing and revision notes of my work than the 20 books I have read on writing. If ...

I have truly enjoyed working with Bryony, and received so much more than just editing from this collaboration. I appreciate the guidance, feedback, and encouragement she provided throughout the entire process. I can recommend her not only as an excellent editor but as a wonderful person to correspond with.
