Ashlyn Imel – Designer

Hi! My name is Ashlyn - I am from Kansas City but my heart belongs in the mountains, which is where I get my love of adventure from.

I have a passion for illustrating children's books and bringing authors' stories to life. I look at each story as if it were an adventure waiting to come alive! I have been creating illustrations and concept art for independent authors for the past five years. I recently had the opportunity to showcase one of my illustrations in a gallery and have been honored to create custom illustrations for a variety of clients. I have worked on a few books, including a poetry book, creating full illustrations that captured the design intent and overall story mood.

Having a passion for design and a background in Interior Design has prepared me to know how to work with clients, understanding their vision and how to incorporate the details that bring all the pieces together. It has given me the opportunity to understand the needs and wants of a project and turn it into something beautiful and well-designed. I have gained a thorough knowledge of colors, color theories, and textures.

Illustration is my passion, and I could not imagine doing anything else! I have way too many pins, inspiration boards, notes for ideas, and research to do something else!
