Overview
Anna is a New York-based illustrator specializing in sci-fi, science, and DIY. Her clients include NPR, The Marshall Project, Atlas Obscura, Dissent Magazine, and LA Times, among others.
What it's like to work with me:
1. Send the brief
A brief can be as specific or as open-ended as you want - some clients request certain elements or colors incorporated, while others just send the general concept of what needs to be illustrated, asking me to come up with an interpretation.
2. Thumbnails/sketches
After I get the client brief, I create a few black and white thumbnail sketches (usually three) based on the assignment. I provide the sketches to the client on or before the agreed upon date, and the client chooses the illustration that speaks to them the most.
3. Edits
I can incorporate edits to the sketch based on the feedback. I then send back the final sketch to be approved before I go on the create the final. This is also when I can provide a color sketch, if desired. My sketches are generally very accurate to what the final illustration will look like.
4. Final
Once the client/art director chooses the concept they like the most, I create the final illustration. I then submit that to the client on or before the agreed upon deadline. I'll make small edits, if necessary (changing a certain detail or color) free of charge. The number of edits I can do for free would be agreed upon with the client.
