I am a professional writer, editor, and advisor with five+ decades of experience in journalism and public relations. I live in Denver CO.
One of my first editors gave me a writing assignment and told me to "make it sing!" Today I write, re-write, edit with that goal in mind.

I have ghostwritten scores of "thought leadership" articles for business professionals in the fields of risk management, financial services, cybersecurity. identity verification, and emerging technology. For 16 years I was a managing partner of a New York public relations agency that specialized in supporting financial service organizations. My clients have included exchanges, asset management firms, financial technology companies, broker-dealers and the World Federation of Exchanges.
I recently ghostwrote a series of books "Best Practices of the Best Dealmakers" for The M&A Advisor ( spent more than a decade in leading communications roles at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange, serving as chief spokesman and advising C-Suite and Board members on communications strategy and messaging, writing speeches and communiques.
I began my career in journalism, working as a sportswriter in college (Austin American-Statesman), held many reporting-editing-and managing positions for 12 years at UPI (when it was a real wire service), and was Business Editor of the Chicago Sun-Times (then the 8th largest newpaper in the country).
I earned an MBA from at the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, where I was Editor of the prestigious Daily Texan in 1971.
