I have worked as a reporter, writer, editor, advisor for 5 decades. Today I help people with superb ghostwriting and editing
I am a professional writer, editor and advisor with four decades of experience in journalism and public relations. Since 2014 I have been working on a variety of writing/consulting assignments as well as serving as webmaster for TAKING THE KIDS. I have ghostwritten books for The M&A Advisor as well as edited "The Kids Guides" series of books authored by my wife, Eileen Ogintz. I have ghostwritten scores of "thought leadership" articles for business professions in the fields of risk management, financial services, risk management, cybersecurity and technology. For 16 years I was a managing partner of a New York public relations agency that specializes in supporting financial service organizations. My clients have included financial exchanges, asset management firms, financial technology companies, broker-dealers and the World Federation of Exchanges. I ventured into agency public relations after 10 years in high-level corporate PR for the New York Stock Exchange and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, two of the world’s leading marketplaces. At each exchange I participated in senior level management and policy planning, and counseled the top executives and governing members on media, regulatory and inter-related issues. Graduating the Executive MBA program at the University of Chicago in 1987 allowed me to apply to management what I had learned during 15 years in journalism, having held senior editorial positions at the Chicago Sun-Times and the old United Press International (UPI).
