Amanda Letcher – Designer

My name is Amanda and I am a children's book illustrator and designer from Australia. I have been illustrating professionally for the last 3 years, including the illustration and book design of over 50 picture books.

I specialise in digital art, but I love to incorporate texture and the hand drawn feel of 'traditional art' look to my illustrations. My illustration style (as shown in my profile examples) is fun, with lots of texture and colour. Whether it's a human or animal, I like to create expressive characters and fully imagined worlds.

I am a strong believer that my illustrations and layout are there to help bring your story to life. I like to try different layouts, view points and including a little humour when appropriate.

Creating a children's book can be a daunting project for many new authors so I am here to help you on your publishing journey with suggestions, ideas and years of knowledge to create a stress free process for you.

I was a graphic designer for 18 years and am very experienced in picture book and middle grade book layout and cover design, particularly in requirements needed for self publishing on Amazon KDP and Ingram Spark.
