Adrienne Rosado – Editor

Literary agent, freelance editor, and ghostwriter with 15 years experience in NY publishing.

Overview

I’m a literary agent and freelance editor with 15 years experience in NY publishing. In my work as an agent, I’ve placed books across all genres including but not limited to: mystery, thriller, women’s fiction, young adult, middle grade, business non-fiction, and history. I've worked in the domestic and international markets, and with television and film rights, giving me an interesting perspective on publishing trends.

As a freelance editor, it’s my pleasure to bring my publishing experience to the table and dive deeply into a manuscript to make it shine. I have a keen editorial eye and a sincere love of all the nuances of storytelling.

Adrienne was able to cut right to the heart of my query's shortcomings. As an experienced agent, she was able to expand the sections that needed more depth, and trim the excess to keep the query tight and focused. I now feel confident and ready to begin the submission process thanks to her advice and revisions. I highly recommend her services to anyone getting ready to pitch!

Another great job by Adrienne. I had previously hired Adrienne to edit a lengthy synopsis, and I returned to her to edit a brief version. Once again she made numerous improvements without taking anything away. I'd highly recommend giving her a try.

Adrienne is a tremendously insightful editor. She'll understand your story for what it is and what it can be. She's encouraging even when she's found something is amiss or unclear in the text--because she'll have a great suggestion for how to make things work. Max Perkins would approve.

I worked with Adrienne on a synopsis. She was extremely helpful. I’d already been to several prior editors, but the synopsis always ended up either vague or too lengthy, to the point that I verged on giving up. Fortunately, Adrienne’s suggestions finally got the synopsis both clearly written and reasonable in length. Highly recommended.

Adrienne was extremely diligent and professional with the work she did on my query letter. She has been a lot of help and I am now confident going into the search for a literary agent because of her. Her price was also extremely reasonable, which made my decision upon a query letter editor much easier.
