Tjaša Krivec – Designer

I’m a freelance graphic designer specialising in book cover design, with a background in both Slovenian and UK creative industries. I began my career in Slovenia, designing books and museum exhibitions, websites, brand identities, and marketing materials for theatre and live performances. After moving to London, I focused primarily on cover design and have worked with publishers including Palgrave Macmillan and Bloomsbury. I was shortlisted for the ABCD Book Cover Awards 2019 (Nonfiction).

I’m collaborative and detail-focused: I’ll listen closely to your ideas, ask the right questions, and bring clear creative direction to the project. I’m comfortable designing illustrative, typographic, and photography-led covers, depending on what best serves your book.

At the start, I’ll ask for a few cover references you like/dislike to quickly align on style and expectations. I also like to confirm budget early, because it affects choices like image licensing and print finishes. The end goal is a cover that looks professional, feels right for the market, and helps your book stand out.
