Overview

I started my career as a freelancer in Slovenia, where I worked on many different projects including designing books and exhibitions for museums, website design and company identities. I also designed posters and marketing material for musicals and performances. After moving to London I started working mainly as cover designer. I designed covers for Palgrave Macmillan and Bloomsbury. I have been shortlisted for the ABCD 2019 book cover awards in the nonfiction category.

I give each project I am working on my 100%. I am open to cooperation with the author and try including their ideas as well as bringing my own creativity to the project. I love illustrative and typographical cover designs but also love to work with photographic material. Before I start any project I like to see some samples of the designs you like or dislike, just to see some general direction that we are going in. That really helps getting the designs spot on as soon as possible. It is important to know your budget quite early, just to see how much we can play with printing techniques and other effects that can make a book more tactile and interesting. The end goal is to achieve attractive and competitive cover design, that will contribute to the success of your publication.

Building from the psychoanalytic belief that norms repress unconscious desire while structures open onto the creative resources of the symbolic, Sex for Structuralists looks to key texts in myth, trauma, and unconscious fantasy by Sigmund Freud, Jacques Lacan, and Cl... read more
