Roland Denzel

Roland Denzel – Marketer

Publishing specialist with 25+ years experience. I'll help you finish your book, create your pain-free platform, and build your business.

Overview

I've been in the publishing and printing business since 1995, and wow, have things changed!

Over the years, I've worked for and with some of the biggest printing companies in the world.

In fact, I've actually helped set up some of the very print-on-demand systems you might be using to print your own books!

Like you, I'm also an author.

I'm traditionally published, and I've also been an indie author since 2012.

I'm in a unique position. I've been a publishing specialist for some of the biggest companies, but I've also been in charge of my own publishing business for over 10 years.

I help authors put systems and automations in place, so they can focus on what they do best; write their books.

Today's author marketing

Today's successful author focuses marketing efforts on being found online, everywhere your readers are looking for books.

Once found, you need to stay found, keep in touch to build the relationship, and get your readers ready for the day when you publish your book.

It might sound like a lot of work, or complicated and time-consuming, but it doesn't have to be.

It's my job to help you.

I put systems in place so you can get back to doing what you love — writing books.

If you're serious about making it as an author, writing the books you love, it's time we talked.

Projects

Grow Wild

Grow Wild is the 9th book by movement specialist Katy Bowman, but because it was the first that would be focused on the family and the first in full color, it required a marketing strategy built from the ground up.

I worked with the author and the publishing team focusing on outreach to family-focused bookstores, librarians, and organizations that catered to the health and education of children. Events were hosted at nature schools, forest schools, and public event centers looking for family-friendly fun that encouraged natural movement and outdoor learning.

We launched at the height of the pandemic, when paper and supply chain issues were at their worst. By giving readers early access to the ebook, audiobook, and bundles, we were able to launch successfully, selling out our initial 2,000 copy printing in a matter of months.

Grow Wild was the first Propriometrics Press book to be sold direct as an audiobook, ebook, and print book by the publisher. They've since set up direct sales of audiobooks and ebooks for the entire catalog.

Peace with Self, Peace with Food - A business around a book

"Peace with Self, Peace with Food" is a book that was written from the heart to help people struggling with emotional eating.

The book was written and designed with the ideal reader in mind. The cover and full-color interior are designed to resonate with those who most needed the support and services of the author - women who've struggled with emotional eating because of past trauma.

From the beginning, the book was set up to sell directly from the author's website and in all online stores.

The book has a strong reader magnet that encourages readers to sign up for bonus resources. From there, email automations and workshops take the reader through a self-help journey that starts with the book, takes them through free and paid workshops, and culminates in the author's six-month group coaching program and an ongoing, paid support community.

In the first three months since the book's launch (February 14, 2022), "Peace with Self, Peace with Food" generated $1,900 in wide book sales royaties, $1, 600 in direct sales royalties, and over $50,000 in new workshop and group program enrollments.
