Rachel Begley

Rachel Begley – Editor

Experienced editor with Routledge, Wiley and many more. Specialising in education and works of fiction, I help to bring words to life.

Overview

I am a highly experienced and skilled copy editor and proofreader. I have been freelancing since 2006 and my career has seen me work for major academic publishers such as Routledge, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Pearson Education and Wiley.

I am experienced in all stages of the publishing process from substantive editing to proofreading and QA (Quality Assurance – the final checks of a book) and while I specialize in educational non-fiction works, I am also extremely experienced with works of fiction and poetry in both UK and US English. I have completed a number of assignments privately for new and upcoming authors and I am passionate about the chance to help authors find their voice in the publishing world.

The freelance editorial world is highly competitive, however for over a decade I have retained my place in the publishing industry. This is due to my exceptional eye for detail and my strong work ethic. I have never missed a deadline in all of this time and have received extremely positive feedback from all who I have worked with.
