Pascal Porcheron

Pascal Porcheron – Editor

Friendly non-fiction editor with ten years' experience developing projects, copy-editing and proof-reading at a top non-fiction press.

Overview

I am an experienced editor of non-fiction with a background in the UK publishing industry. I develop book proposals and manuscripts across the social sciences and humanities, for academic and trade audiences. As a commissioning editor I also have a keen understanding of the non-fiction book market.

The key to strong non-fiction writing is a clear, distinctive argument. Every day I work with authors to develop these, in a collaborative, creative environment. My work for an academic press has made me expert in evaluating difficult intellectual work and has given me a passion for turning complex ideas into readable prose. I am a close, careful reader too, with many years' experience copy-editing and proof-reading texts for publication. With a keen eye for detail and a creative streak, I will ensure your work is ready to share with the world.
