In 2017, an Italian publisher I translated for won one of the most prestigious awards: the "National Award for Translation", awarded by Italy's Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. They won it in part thanks to my translation of Kate Cambor's Gilded Youth.

In their words: "Basti ricordare la traduzione, a opera di Pamela, di Gioventù dorata di Kate Cambor, che Harold Bloom considera una narrazione meravigliosa leggibile come un romanzo di Balzac." (Suffice it to mention the translation, by Pamela, of Kate Cambor's Gilded Youth, which Harold Bloom considers a wonderful narrative readable like a Balzac novel.)
