Overview
I've been an ATA-certified French to English translator for 25 years. I specialize in translating academic writing for scholarly publication, particularly in the fields of philosophy, women’s rights, history, and literary nonfiction. I'm also a literary translator with experience translating science-fiction and historical fiction. I have worked with scholars from across the country and world as a longtime contributing editor and translator to the Beauvoir Series (a multivolume collection of the writings of Simone de Beauvoir, published by the University of Illinois Press). I have also translated a six-book historical fiction series by French author Gabrielle Dubois and two books of science fiction by Mauritanian author Moussa Ould Ebnou.I am organized, detail-oriented, prompt, and professional. I look forward to collaborating with authors and researchers to bring their French-language books and scholarly research to an English-speaking audience!
