Self-employed

Aug, 2013 — Present

For the past 4.5 years, I have been helping nonfiction publishers and authors develop, polish, and publish the highest quality manuscripts in everything from cooking, baking, and spirits to yoga, potty training, and counselor education, and more. I have experience in all areas of publishing to help you do the same. I am currently focusing on editorial assessment, copy editing, and proofreading. Please let me know how I can help you.

John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

Mar, 2008 — Oct, 2013 (over 5 years)

While with Wiley, I acquired, published, and sold thoughtfully developed, beautifully designed, highly visual, market-leading books to meet the needs of post-secondary learners at multiple stages in their culinary and hospitality careers. With a collaborative working style, I successfully managed and grew my list’s largest revenue franchise titles and market leaders: Wayne Gisslen’s Professional Series (Professional Cooking, Professional Baking, Professional Garde Manger, and Essentials of Professional Cooking), including its recipe management program.

In 2012, I received Wiley’s Notable Signing of a Current Wiley Author Award for Sackett, Global Cuisines. And, two of my books, Professional Garde Manger by Sackett, Pestka, and Gisslen and Molecular Gastronomy by Sanchez, were nominated for IACP awards.
