Maddy Vian – Designer

I have over 10 years experience in illustration and working on hundreds of exciting projects from music videos to scientific papers!

I graduated from Kingston University with an Illustration Animation degree and have been freelance ever since. I began to specialise in Children's Book illustration 4 years ago; I am represented by United Agents and have 5 published titles.

My work is often described as warm and nostalgic which I love bringing to every narrative project with character and colour. One of my favourite parts of the process is the sketch stage where we get to put fresh ideas onto the page and watch it come alive.

I often go through a round of sketches to make sure we are on the same page and then move to colour work. I pride myself in being efficient and good at communicating at the early stages so that what we create is perfect for each client.
