Laure Deprez - Editor

London

A trade publishing editor, my job involves commissioning, editing, copy-editing, typesetting and proofreading new titles.

Overview

After obtaining a master's degree in publishing from the University of Liège in Belgium and a couple of life-changing internships, I decided to move to the UK to work in the publishing industry. I obtained an editorial position in a small publishing house in Scotland, helping commission titles and editing, copy-editing, typesetting them. I recently moved to a bigger company in London, keeping a similar position with added responsibilities, which allows me to work on a greater number of titles each year.

I am efficient, open to suggestions and always on the lookout for opportunities to sharpen my skills. In terms of editing, I specialise in literary fiction and genre fiction. When it comes to copy-editing and typesetting, I am happy to work on all sorts of non-illustrated books.
