I am a freelance copy editor and proofreader with more than seven years’ experience editing long and short-form content for a range of publishers, including Andrews McMeel Universal. I have edited literary novels, self-help books, poetry collections and peer-reviewed academic articles (including one that won an award for medical publications). My experience is informed by more than 20 years in daily newspaper and wire service journalism, which means I’m a diligent researcher who can help make sure the car your character drives in 1934 was actually in production and came in candy red. I can also correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and word usage while preserving your author voice.
