Jo Kemp – Editor

I work on a wide range of print and multimedia resources for students and teachers, across a variety of subjects. I have also worked on self-teaching titles, and have been the regular editor of two quarterly magazines. I have a particular interest in English language and literature (at primary and secondary level) and primary mathematics.My role as an editor can include rewriting and developmental/structural editing, copyediting, proofreading and Alpha and Beta testing of digital products (I work on a Mac). I also have a wealth of experience in project management, so understand the broader publishing picture, but prefer now to focus on editorial work. Over the past few years I have completed an MA in creative writing at Newcastle University, the CIEP course 'Introduction to Fiction Editing', and Louise Harnaby's course 'Switching to Fiction' . Yes, I am hoping to broaden my portfolio to fiction editing in the near future!
