June Silinski – Translator

I'm June and I'm a French literary translator. I help writers and publishers bring international literature to French-speaking countries and communities. My goal is to deliver smooth and faithful translations to your readers, so that the story feels as captivating and authentic as the original.

I translate fiction and non-fiction from English and Spanish into French, and I'm part of ATLF, the Association of Literary Translators of France.

For the last 11 years, I've translated more than 80 books, mastering different literary genres. I have significant experience in thrillers, romance, romantasy, fantasy, young adult and historical fiction books. I've learned to adapt my skill set to new genres and styles, ensuring translations that remain true to your voice and engaging for your readers.

I've worked with self-published authors, publishing houses, and translation agencies. Examples of my work include:

* High-profile novels for French publishers De Saxus, Ellipsis and City, such as "All my Lies" ("Tous mes mensonges"), by Nelle Lamarr, the "Prince of Sin" series ("Les Princes des péchés", tomes 1, 2 et 3) by Kerri Maniscalco, or the "Loveboat" ("Amour(s) à Taïwan" tomes 1, 2 et 3) series by Abigail Hing Wen.

* The successful "Sullivan" series by self-published American author Bella Andre (romance)

* The best-selling series "El Sendero del Guardabosques" ("Le Sentier du Gardien de la forêt") by self-published Spanish author Pedro Urvi (fantasy).

During my career, I've worked as a freelance translator, an in-house translator, and a project manager. These experiences taught me to manage translation projects efficiently and to communicate clearly so I can meet your expectations.

I trained as a translator in universities in several countries: France, Spain, Bolivia, Russia, Italy... Thanks to this intercultural perspective, I was able to learn different techniques, which I now apply to deliver translations that convey the feelings, messages, ideas, and depth of your stories and characters. It also deepened my understanding of the subtleties of each language I work with, including French, so my word choices are as precise and accurate as possible.
