Julia Pollacco

Julia Pollacco – Editor

I am currently an Assistant Editor at HarperCollins, working on non-fiction publishing, primarily within the lifestyle and gifting genres.

Overview

I specialise in structural and developmental edits, and am also able to provide copyediting services. My main experience is within non-fiction writing. My career is within the publishing industry, and I have worked in editorial departments for the past 5 years, first with Routledge (one of the top academic publishers globally), and presently, I work at HarperCollins. Please note that all work I complete is completely separate from my ongoing job in publishing.

I aim to give helpful feedback on writing, making direct comments to sections within the text, as well as providing you with a few paragraphs of general commentary on where writing can be improved. This is somewhat of an analysis of the text, highlighting points I admire in the writing, and points which I think need further work on more generally, whether in terms of tone, or consistent errors found within the work.
