Hello. I’m Michael. I’m an editor, writing coach, and “book doctor” specializing in new thought, alternative spirituality, and self-development books. I hold an accredited Master’s degree in Religious Studies (I studied spiritual cultures, the wisdom traditions of antiquity, and the trajectory of ancient ideas to modern times) and two graduate degrees in metaphysics. After honing my editing skills over ten years as an editor of legal textbooks, I moved into editing prescriptive nonfiction as Managing Editor of a publishing house. I am now a freelance editor with a passion for editing mind body spirit books and books by lightworkers, mediums, psychics, healers, wellness practitioners, and others dedicated to walking a spiritual path and bringing spirit into the material world. I have edited over one hundred manuscripts, including self-transformation books, memoirs, fiction, and how-to spiritual learning manuals. I excel at helping authors make their books the best they can be.
My passion for spiritual books makes me a creative, engaged, and inspired editor. Whether we are working together to shape your book during developmental coaching, or I am doing a stylistic / content / line edit of your manuscript, I’ll bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to your project.
