Overview
I have been working as a freelancer since 2012 and I have gained the trust of publishing houses such as Harper & Collins and Éditions Alkonost, with which I have been working for several years now. The former trusts me with great love novels from the 'Passions' and 'Victoria' collections. As for Alkonost, they mainly publish the finest game books and imaginary novels, as well as role playing games. I am lucky enough to translate works from various authors. Plus, dealing with such different genres is a great opportunity to use creativity in order to give readers thrills, adventures, as well as an entertaining and memorable experience.
As a translator, I like to give the best work possible, out of respect for authors, readers and publishers. The author's vision is really important. Always spot on with deadlines, I still take time to review my work and keep an open mind for suggestions while also defending choices with both a linguistic and more instinctive approach of French language. It is also nice when you can exchange with writers about certain points, like important scenes or details. I love creative writing and telling stories myself. Therefore, I find it really wonderful to play with language so as to keep it flowing, to please readers. Usually, when sending a translation, I give an overall feedback on how I approached the text and am always happy to know how the book is going.
Translation is a road filled with adventures and stories to tell, so let's explore. ;)
