Overview

I'm an Italian>English translator, proofreader, and linguistic consultant.
I moved to Italy from the United States thirty plus years ago and have never left! Currently, most of my work is with entrepreneurial authors interested in sending their books to English-language publishers or agents for consideration, or for self-publication, although I also have some translating experience with publishers. In addition, I've spent more than two decades translating and revising scientific/technical texts and articles for academics.
I particularly like working in situations where there is a sense of teamwork and look specifically for projects that I can feel passionate about. My favorite projects involve the kinds of books I love to read: women's fiction, historical and literary fiction, with some romance, mystery, and thrillers thrown into the mix. If you've already had your book translated, I'm also available for proofreading or quality assessment.
Please contact me for additional examples of my work as I have many that do not currently appear on sales platforms.

Work experience

freelance Italian-English translator and linguistic consultant

Self-employed
January, 1992 – Present (about 31 years)

For almost three decades I've collaborated with independent authors, agencies, businesses, and universities to prepare clear and concise English-language texts. I do my best work when I'm digging a little deeper than the words on the page, when the author and I work together to create the best product possible.
