Overview

Reviews (2)

I am a freelance editor, copy-editor and proofreader who has worked on books from some of the UK's bestselling authors, as well as international bestsellers, such as Linwood Barclay, Maureen Lee, Anthony Horowitz and Cathy Kelly.

I worked for many years as an editor in some of the biggest trade publishing houses in the country - Orion Books, Hodder & Stoughton, Headline Publishing - and have recently become a freelance editor, working with authors on their novels and non-fiction work.

I help authors find their voice, sort pacing or plotting issues, catch errors and get their work ready for publication or the eyes of an agent/publishing house.

I am very pleased to work with Joanne. Her sample edit of my first three chapters proved to me that she understood the writing style required for my novel's genre. I look forward to working with her again on the full manuscript.

Jo is simply amazing. Her keen eye for detail and consistency is matched with a generous and invested attention to what the author is trying to achieve. Her final pass on my book, Wandering Stars, gave my manuscript the cohesion and polish needed to prepare me for publishing. She has a wealth of knowledge about the industry and shares it openly. Above all, her approach is enthusiastic and posit...
