ABOUT ME: Hello! I began working freelance after establishing myself in-house as a knowledgeable editor specializing in taking art and craft books from concept to print. Publishers I've worked for include the award-winning David & Charles, trailblazing indie outfit 3dtotal Publishing, and global special-interest publisher Immediate Media. My experience and skills qualify me as an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).
You'll find me to be an approachable, encouraging and positive presence no matter where in the process I join you, when I'll identify and solve problems related to content and editorial presentation. Based in Worcester, UK, I work on an iMac running Adobe InDesign CC, Acrobat and MS Word.

I went fully freelance after establishing myself as a knowledgeable in-house art and craft book editor. Editing non-fiction illustrated books involves so many elements beyond the words. Photography, illustrations, diagrams, typography, heading levels, page layouts, running heads and feet, folios and more require meticulous attention. Ensuring the reader's journey is well signposted is vital. I flourish in jobs where I need to research new subject areas or techniques (if I don't know, I'll find out!). If the publisher's brief includes liasing with the author, I'll help both visions to work as one. I match my energy to the the author's via email, video, phone calls or a mix of all three.
