As an editor, I utilise my skills and experience to ensure content is always imaginative and innovative, fully meets the brief, respects style/brand requirements and fully engages with its intended audience. Recent work includes writing two quiz books for Kahoot!; senior editor on DK's official "Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee" book (commissioned by the UK government and gifted to millions of schoolchildren); editing three "Very Hungry Caterpillar" encyclopedias; copy-editing several biographies for Scholastic; conceiving contents and writing the text for best-selling, David Macaulay-illustrated title "Mammoth Maths".

Proven success in developing and seeing through complex, high-profile projects; extensive experience of editing fiction, biography, history, and illustrated non-fiction for children, as well as practical, illustrated non-fiction for adults; skilled and meticulous editorial oversight of projects and sensitive, constructive guidance to authors; editorial experience and in-depth knowledge of a range of subject areas including history, human body, natural history, animals, STEM, maths, earth sciences, culture, and visual arts; experience of ensuring content is appropriate to Key Stage objectives and guidelines; proven track record working with design professionals to conceive and execute highly visual, integrated spreads and jackets.
