Overview
Editor of 'The Last List of Mabel Beaumont', an Amazon #1 bestseller by Laura Pearson, and 'Jinx' by Jessica Huntley, a 2023 Bookshelf Awards finalist.
'I'm so thankful I found Jennifer. From the first appointment to discuss what I needed, to where we are right now, it's been 100% professional. I can't express how working with Jennifer doesn't feel like work at all... I would thoroughly recommend Jennifer and would use her fantastic work again in a heartbeat. What a gem!'
'Not only was she nice, pleasant and professional throughout, but Jennifer was very precise on the actual editing.'
'She kept me up to date with her progress and she returned my manuscript within the time stated. Her work was very thorough and precise.'
'She caught hundreds of mistakes I had missed even after I edited my novel countless times. She not only corrected my errors but also explained why they were mistakes so I don't make them again in the future.'
These are extracts from just a few testimonials I've received from clients I've worked with over the last few years.
If you're looking for a professional editor, not only someone who works with traditional publishers and is trained to industry standards, but also an editor who is friendly and approachable, look no further!
I've worked with award-winning authors, so I know what makes a high-quality manuscript.
As part of my editorial services, I will provide you with a style sheet and an editorial report which goes into more detail about my suggested changes and gives justifications for my amendments. Understanding the reasoning behind my suggestions gives you the confidence to know that I've worked hard on your manuscript to make it the best it can possibly be.
If it's a proofread I'm carrying out for you, I'll be sure to comply with a style guide you already have or, if you don't have one, I can compile one for you.
I work with traditional publishers and self-publishing authors both in the UK and around the world. Once I've started working with you, I consider us to have an ongoing working relationship meaning that I am very happy to receive any questions or thoughts from you even after our contract has ended. I'm happy to offer any help and guidance that I can, but just don't ask me about anything to do with technology because I can guarantee you I won't know the answer!

Work experience
Self-employed
I offer copyediting services to traditional publishers and self-publishing authors, and often I am also asked to proofread manuscripts, providing the final check before they are sent to publication to ensure there are no mistakes, which is a huge responsibility.
Current publisher clients include:
Bookouture
Boldwood Books
Flame Tree Publishing
Polygon Books
Hera Books
I also work for some several very successful self-publishing authors, including Jessica Huntley whose book 'Jinx' was a finalist in the 2023 Bookshelf Awards. I've worked for bestselling authors including Rosie Clarke and Kate Frost.
