Hattie Grylls

Hattie Grylls – Editor

Hello! I specialise in copyediting, proofreading, writing and project managing children's books. I'm looking forward to working with you!

Overview

Can I help you with your manuscript?I'm a passionately diligent editor who loves nothing better than juggling words (and the pictures they accompany). I began loving stories as a child, hiding in strange corners with a book instead of playing with friends. Fast forward 25 years and today I have worked with some of the industry's top publishers, editors and designers, working in-house at HarperCollins Australia, Pavilion Children's Books and The Quarto Group (Frances Lincoln Children's Books and Wide Eyed Editions). If you're an author who needs a little guidance before submission – get in touch! If you're a publisher who wants to work with another freelance proofreader or non-fiction writer – get in touch!Together, we can use our expertise to create a book that kids will love.

This was my second (and not last) project I’ve worked with Hattie on and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her creativeness and wit she has is incredible and she has brought both my picture books to life.
