Over the last 6 years of working in the publishing industry, I've worked in editorial companies, literary agencies and commercial publishers. I have experience commissioning bestselling authors and working with them through to publication and beyond. This includes structurally editing their novels, liaising with copyeditors and proofreaders, checking those edits, briefing the covers, writing copy, creating the metadata for their novels and ensuring it's monitored regularly. I've worked on everything from contemporary romance to action thrillers so have a broad awareness of the commercial fiction market.

I am aware that every book is different so I can offer tailored services according to what you need:

- Structural edits: I can work with you on aspects of your novel such as the characterisation, pacing, structure, and plot. I would read the manuscript in its entirety before sending back suggestions on what areas will need more work, and what areas are working well. The feedback will always be constructive. This kind of edit is important to ensure the content of your manuscript is the best it can possibly be. This is a great idea for those looking to self-publish, or those who are looking to stand out when submitting to agents or publishers.

- Submission reviews: If you are submitting your work to an agent or publisher and would like to ensure that it's the best it can be before you do so, then this is a great choice. It includes feedback on your covering letter, synopsis and first 3 chapters (the industry standard guidelines) but if you have different requirements then we can chat through alternative options.
