Overview
I’ve been a genre reader since I could pick up a book. I love fantasy, suspense, and thrillers, but my professional area of expertise is any subgenre of romance.
In my decade at WilliamMorrow/AvonBooks, I acquired and edited over 200 books, including a #1 NYT and #1 USAT bestseller, multiple other NYT/USAT/WSJ bestsellers, and a Lambda Literary Award winner. My books and authors appeared on national tv, in magazines, on billboards, and in viral TikToks. I still hunt for my “book babies” at Target, airports, local grocery stores, etc. I left the industry a little over a year ago to explore other paths (teaching, coaching, and editing business writing), but the lure of fiction and the desire to help authors perfect their novels could only be ignored for so long.
I’m a very dedicated and thorough developmental editor who likes to offer suggestions that hopefully spark new ideas of your own! My letters are notoriously long (but gentle!), and I put plenty of smiley faces, exclamations, and hearts in the margins.
