Overview
I like to translate fiction and crime books, but also some practical and touristic guides or books about art in-between, as well as a few children books. History does interest me also and I have the pleasure to translate a book about the Second World War.
My first translation of a novel was "A l'ouest du monde" by the Scottish poet and novelist Kenneth Steven, which tells the story of one of the last inhabitants on the remote Scottish island of Saint Kilda. This has incited me to visit this extraordinary place.
I started learning Icelandic a few years ago and this is such a passion that I wish to translate from this language too. I recently received a grant from the Icelandic literary institute for having translated a couple of chapters of an Icelandic novel.
