Eleonora Maggi – Translator

I am a native Italian speaker translating from English and Portuguese (PT/BR) into Italian. Before moving to Milan, I lived in Lisbon, where I combined my passion for foreign languages with my other interests, specializing in literature, video game localization, and audiovisual translation. I am a Certified Translator trained by Linguist Training, an Accredited Examination Centre of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), and a member of the Certified PRO Network.

I grew up surrounded by books, and working with literature represents the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. I have developed strong skills in writing, translating, and editing contemporary fiction. I offer authors high-quality literary translations that preserve the original tone, style, and emotional impact of their work, while ensuring accurate localization for the Italian market. When appropriate, I can also provide suggestions on how to present books in the most engaging way for Italian readers.

I specialize in translating fiction featuring erotic or explicit scenes, violence, romance, and paranormal elements. In recent years, I have also expanded my work to narrative-driven video games and children’s books.
