Overview

I am friendly, task focused and love engaging with words. Last year, I helped many authors who now have their books in print and for sale, and I have more in the pipeline. Subjects covered so far have been incredibly varied, ranging from the problem of nematodes in crops to rhythms in Indian music, SMART cities, outdoor museums and feminist narratives during the Italian Risorgimento. I also work on theses and dissertations, and individual book chapters to shape them for publication. Styles covered (but not limited to) include Chicago, APA, MLA and Harvard. Working with clients from all over the world to prepare their manuscripts for publishing. Since 2020 I've helped authors from India, America, the Czech Republic, Africa, Bangladesh, Taiwan and Romania to name a few. This is copy editing 'extra' where not only do I check grammar, spelling and punctuation but help the author to express themselves in meaningful English.

I have helped 30+ authors get their books to typesetting for publication. The majority do not have English as their first language, and I have worked with them to create manuscripts in meaningful English that are also grammatically correct; help is also given for spelling, punctuation and syntax, verb/subject agreements and a consistent tense. All work is carefully kept in your 'voice.'
