Cherie Sinnen

Cherie Sinnen – Designer

Award-winning food, botanical, and insect illustrator with 20+ years of experience. Detail oriented. Easy to work with. Let's collaborate!

Overview

My name is Cherie and I have a passion for realistic illustration of food/plants/botanicals, insects/birds/animals - anything organic.

I have worked on a wide range of projects from science magazines to consumer packaged goods, museum posters, annual reports, and point-of-purchase displays.

Some of my clients include the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, Scientific American Magazine, Deutsche Bank, Williams-Sonoma, and Lands' End to name a few.

I enjoy working in different mediums and use a combination of hand-painting, sketches, and digital techniques to create stunning artwork. Although each project is unique, I always start with a round of pencil sketches to put various ideas down on paper.

Communication with one another is key to creating a clear image that encapsulates your book and brings your vision to life. Together we can make your book stand out from the crowd by creating a beautiful piece of art.

Feel free to reach out with any questions. I would love to hear from you!

TESTIMONIALS

"Cherie was one of the first illustrators we worked with way back in 2016 for a Bonafide Provisions project. It was love at first sight when we saw her scientific-style drawings of ingredients. Since then, she's worked with us on numerous projects for Ozery Bakery and BumbleBee Seafoods. She helps us dial up taste appeal to 100 and brings a sense of heritage to a brand. The amount of detail in her work is mind-blowing!"

—Jeremy Dahl and Becky Nelson, Co-founders & co-creative directors of Bex Brands

"Cherie is thoughtful, smart, and a delight to work with. She breathes life into every concept, and delivers impeccable illustrations that always make me smile."

—Jen Christiansen, senior graphics editor at Scientific American
