Overview
Think of me as the literary equivalent of a shammy leather – someone to help make your story shine.
If you choose to get your book edited by me, I can promise you this: I am here to be a champion for your writing, to give you constructive feedback, and to help you get your book that step closer to being ready to publish. My comments and suggestions are always just that, there to advise, not take over.
I'm thorough in my approach to editing, with a sharp eye for detail and a wealth of experience in copy editing and proofreading for traditional publishers and individual clients that allows me to give comprehensive and insightful guidance on how to improve your writing at the sentence level.
Like most editors of fiction, I’m pretty geeky about books. My area of interest and expertise lies in a range of fiction, but particularly fantasy, contemporary fiction and mystery/thrillers. These are the genres I work on day in and day out, and those that I tend to reach for in my spare time (curled up with a cup of tea, as well as my dog, Winston).
Since starting my own editing business in 2019, I’ve worked on over 150 fiction books, including several bestsellers, self-published books, traditionally published books and manuscripts from authors embarking on the submissions process.
