Hi there, my name is Anja. I am a German writer and translator with a passion for literature and languages. For 10 years, I have worked with bestselling indie authors, helping them translate their novels and navigate the complexities of the German publishing landscape. As an indie author myself, I can help you out if you have any questions about self-publishing and marketing in Germany.
I treat every manuscript with meticulous care, conducting multiple revision rounds to ensure top-notch quality. This means, a full-length novel can take around 2 months to translate with additional time for the editing process. I usually work together with an editor outside of Reedsy, but you are free to look for another one.
I am also open to edit an AI translated work if I can assure myself of the quality in advance at a lower rate than my translation fees.
I have the most experience in translating romance (preferrably sweet), both historical and contemporary and often with a Western setting, but I'm open to other genres as well (except erotica). I have also enjoyed translating Middle Grade fiction and I write in the historical genre myself.
