Amaia Z – Translator

As a professional translator since 2007, I’ve worked for companies such as Booking.com, Trip.com, and Amazon. In 2021, after taking part in various courses related to literary translation (comic translation, children and young people literature translation, science fiction, horror, and fantasy literature translation, professional proofreading, noir literature translation…) I started translating for independent publishers such as Tramuntana Editorial and Zahorí Books. I’ve proofread and translated different children's books, both fiction and non-fiction (mostly related to nature and the environment).

I like to spend my free time with my friends and my dog Arya, and practicing a lot of different hobbies related to creativity (screen printing, scrapbooking, embroidery, watercolor painting, jewelry making, graphic design, and photography, among others). I would love to translate books about these subjects!

The translation process

You just have to send me your project (in Word or PDF). I’ll take a look at it, and read some chapters to get into the subject and the style and to assess the difficulty of the translation. We agree on the deadline and the price and I start translating!
