Combining an arts background with a career in publishing, I specialise in book covers, internal book design (typesetting, for print and ebooks), and online promotional graphics for books.

My work tends to have a literary leaning, but over the last 10+ years I've worked on all sorts of books – from novels to poetry collections, history books to anthologies, graphic novels to photo books – for renowned publishing houses (like Bonnier), indie presses (like Women’s Prize-shortlisted Myriad), and indie authors from all over the world. And I'm always open to any new challenges you might like to send this way.

If we work together, you can expect a friendly, smiley person (always helps, doesn't it), full of useful self-publishing knowledge and always on hand to help you through the process, with prompt delivery too.

COVER DESIGN

• At least 5 cover concepts for you to choose from

• Tweaks to your chosen design, to create a really perfect final cover

• Print-ready and ebook-ready final files

• Once our project has finished, I'll still be available to make any little future changes — should you need to add a glowing endorsement from, say, the New York Times to your front cover (this recently happened to one of my Reedsy clients)

PROMO GRAPHICS

• Using elements from your cover design, plus a 3D mock-up to advertise your book on socials and/or Amazon

• Can include grid-, story- and post-sized images for socials, and A+ content for Amazon

INTERNAL BOOK DESIGN, aka TYPESETTING (for print and ebook)

If you're looking for a really professional finish on your book (which seems logical considering how long you've spent writing it), then using a professional typesetter is kind of a must. Curiously, you know that the typesetting is good when you don't notice the layout as you read!

• Sample designs for your book layout (including body/title fonts, detail illustrations, etc) ensuring a seamless reading experience

• Checking all the essential info is in there, in the right places

• PDF proof to send to your proofreader

• A round of corrections

• Guidance for KDP / IngramSpark / B&N / Lulu / trad printer etc

• Print-ready and ebook-ready final files
