Combining an arts background with a career in publishing, I specialise in creating stunning book covers across a broad range of genres, as well as thoughtful interiors for image-led books (think photo books, poetry-photo collections, graphic novels, and non-fiction guides).

Books are my absolute passion and, because I'm lucky enough to be doing my dream job, I pour my all into every project.

My cover design work tends to have a leaning towards contemporary literary fiction, while my interior book design is focused on image-heavy books. Over the last decade and a half I've worked on all sorts of genres – from commercial fiction to graphic novels, poetry collections to history books, anthologies to photo books, in-depth guides to self-help tomes – for renowned publishing houses (like Bonnier and Bloomsbury), indie presses (like Women’s Prize-shortlisted Myriad), and indie authors from all over the world.

If we work together, you can expect a friendly, smiley person (always helps, doesn't it), full of useful knowledge in self-publishing and traditional publishing, and always on hand to help you through the process, with prompt delivery too.

COVER DESIGN

• Tweaks to your chosen design, to create a really perfect final cover (front, back and spine)

• Print-ready and ebook-ready final files

• Once our project has finished, I'll still be available to make any little future changes — should you need to add a glowing endorsement from, say, the New York Times to your front cover (this recently happened to one of my Reedsy clients)

PROMO GRAPHICS

• Using elements from your cover design, plus a 3D mock-up to advertise your book on socials, Amazon and your own website

• Can include grid-, story- and post-sized images for socials, and A+ content for Amazon

INTERIOR DESIGN, aka TYPESETTING (for print and ebook)

I am now offering bespoke book design and typesetting purely for photographic and image-heavy books (think photography books, poetry-photo collections, graphic novels, or any non-ficiton books and guides that feature photographs/illustrations throughout). I also take on poetry collections without images from time to time.

My services include:

• Sample designs for your book layout, ensuring a seamless reading experience and cohesive design throughout

• Checking all the essential info is in there, in the right places (like prelims and end matter)

• PDF proof to send to your proofreader (or for yourself)

• A round of corrections

• Guidance for KDP / IngramSpark / B&N / Lulu / Book Vault / trad printer etc

• Print-ready and ebook-ready (epub/kpf) final files
