Travis Moran – Editor

A seasoned editor and book coach, Travis has helped acclaimed authors, elite athletes, and emerging voices connect with readers worldwide.

Overview

I’m Travis — a veteran editor, book coach, and story developer specializing in sports narratives: memoirs, novels, screenplays, and short fiction.

I’ve partnered with award-winning journalists, legendary athletes, and rising writers to develop 50+ sports books and 120+ NBA-related articles. Over 20 years’ experience and considerable time abroad have afforded me nuanced perspectives on cross-cultural storytelling. From working draft to polished manuscript, I’ll help you shape a story that resonates with your target reader.

Whether you’re an athlete with a powerful personal tale, a journalist crafting an analytical deep-dive, or a debut novelist exploring a sports-themed narrative, we will solve structural and substantive problems, sharpen your understanding of craft, and hone your self-editing abilities.

If you’d like more information on my services, my approach to working with first-time authors, or my editorial philosophy, please send me a message — I’m here to help!

Though I bid selectively, I respond to all inquiries.
