Overview
I am an independent publishing and freelance editor living in the suburbs of Chicago. I earned a BA in English and Philosophy from Elmhurst College and an MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts from the University of Baltimore. While I specialize in copyediting and proofreading, I am also widely experienced in (and enjoy!) providing developmental feedback across genres.
As Content Editor for Mason Jar Press, I assisted in the selection and publication of 14 books—with several others currently in production—in addition to many other smaller projects through my freelance work. One of the books I've edited with Mason Jar, HOW TO SIT, was a finalist for the 2019 PEN Open Book Award while another, CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST, was a finalist for the 2019 Midwest Booksellers Choice Awards.
I am equally excited about, experienced with, and invested in copyediting a document such as a condominium association's rulebook as I am providing developmental feedback on a collection of speculative fiction. There is very little I relish more than the writing and editing process and I am exciting to assist in your process, whether that be at the very beginning or very end of your project.

Mason Jar Press
Along with the Editor in Chief and Managing Editor, I have been involved in the selection and production of 14 books in various literary styles, with a few more currently in various stages of development. My main role within the press is to work closely with authors from developmental edits through proofreading; a process I am deeply passionate about and one that never ceases to excite me.
