Overview
My name rhymes with "nova". I'm a lifelong word nerd and have been a creative services freelancer for over ten years. I've collaborated remotely on projects of all sizes as an editor, proofreader, access worker (transcriptionist and captioner), and project manager.
As a disabled and neurodivergent person, I'm super invested in information accessibility and accessible collaboration methods. I have a no-questions-asked sliding scale pricing policy because I understand that editing services are prohibitively expensive for most creatives, especially marginalized people, and I believe that cost shouldn't get in the way of a valuable working relationship.
My ideal client is a linguistic descriptivist who works on crip time and feels kind of meh about DRM, but as you can see from my portfolio, I also do a lot of technical editing. I'm extremely good at proofreading because I can hyperfocus on grammar, mechanics, and formatting like no one's business.
