Projects

Folio Society Evolution

During my time as marketing director at The Folio Society, I started building the company as a publisher brand selling direct to consumers rather than being just a walled garden for members. I introduced new marketing ideas that included everything from targetted on and offline marketing to displays and creation of a Folio reading room at Booths in Hay.
The 'Rekindle your love of beautiful books' was a Christmas campaign that was developed to run across on and off line media and heavily featured on Underground posters. I led the set up and launch of the Folio Prize and the subsequent development of The Folio Festival at The British Library and many other innovative initiatives such as the 'Folio Shelfies' Campaign where readers sent in their pictures of their books shelves and all the different ways they made them special.

To encourage young readers in my role running editorial I oversaw the introduction of classics with wider appeal and more contemporary design such as The Day of the Jackal that featured a bullet hole in the slipcase!
