Tawny Stokes

Tawny Stokes – Ghostwriter

I've been a bestselling novelist and screenwriter for the past 17 years. I want to help YOU write your bestselling novel today.

Overview

I’ve been writing and publishing for over seventeen years. I started with writing short stories, then branched out into writing full length fiction novels. After finishing my first book, an action-packed post-apocalyptic, I secured an agent and got my first book deal with Kensington Books. Then came a book deal with Harlequin to open their new paranormal romance book line Nocturne, and I also joined forces with six great writing friends, and we secured a book deal with Avon Red for two anthologies of romance novellas. A few of those authors are now giants in the book world. Since then, I’ve written over 40 books and, besides top New York traditional publishers, I have also published with a few small publishers and have even independently published. So, I have been through it all and know what agents, publishers and readers want.

As a ghostwriter, I have written books for New York Times bestselling authors looking to branch out into new genres, have helped new authors build profitable book careers, aided busy authors with helping them to write popular series that they’ve already established by matching their writing voice and written novels for such popular reading apps as KISS. Although I’m not at liberty to mention for whom I've written, my clients have all been extremely satisfied with my work. Among my ghostwriting consulting projects:

*a long series of bestselling urban fantasy academy novels

*four books in a new cozy mystery series

*five books in a werewolf motorcycle club (MC) series

*a long series of bestselling shifter romance novels

*book one in a new reverse harem (RH) werewolf/vampire series for KISS app

*a standalone YA cult novel for KISS app

*book one in a reverse harem (RH) contemporary romance series for KISS app

*a feature script adapted from a bestselling women’s fiction book

*a TV pilot script adapted from a bestselling paranormal YA series

*a TV pilot script adapted from a New York Times bestselling YA contemporary series

*a TV pilot script adapted from a New York Times bestselling urban fantasy series

*a feature script adapted from a New York Times bestselling romantic suspense series

*a feature script adapted from a bestselling historical romance series

“It was a pleasure to work with Tawny as she adapted my novel “Finding Emma” into a feature script. Not only did she take my ideas, my characters and my words and transformed them into a visual blueprint but she did it with respect for the work and respect for me as the author.” - NYT Bestselling Author Steena Holmes

“Standing on deck to independently publish one’s first novel is an intimidating, overwhelming, drip drip drip of “what the hell am I doing?”; Engaging Tawny (to work on my book) was the smartest thing I’ve done. Her feedback on character, structure, and genre was thorough and specific. My book is not only much improved, but poised to have a better chance at high sales. Hire Tawny. She’s more than worth it.” - Executive Director of the Canadian Society of Independent Film, Barry Thorson

“Tawny did a flawless job (working on) my book in record time. She’s kind, compassionate and a hard worker. Highly recommended.” – Writer and Producer, Jeff Rivera

There are several ways in which I aid authors with their publishing journey. For the author who knows exactly what kind of book they want, and comes to me with a detailed outline and characters, I will take that vision and infuse it with deep world building, exciting dialogue, and interesting new ways to achieve the author’s goal. Some writers will come to me with a basic idea and together we will construct a good, solid outline in line with what’s selling in the genre, and build fantastic characters and then I will take and run with it until its conclusion. Other writers entrust me with creating the plot and characters from scratch, knowing that I will research the genre and market to create a potential bestseller, only wishing to see the finished product. In each case I work quickly and efficiently with the author, and their editor, if employed, until the book is in the best possible shape and that the author is 100% satisfied.

As an author myself, currently hustling and bustling in the industry, I know what it takes to create an engaging book that readers clamor for. My books have sold over 400,000 copies worldwide, both in print and ebook. I made the both the USA Today and New York Times bestsellers list with my vampire romance novella The Vampire’s Design.

Let me utilize everything I’ve learned over the past seventeen years and help you write YOUR bestseller.

PLEASE NOTE: It usually takes me no more than 3 months to conceptalize and write a novel up to 80K. I am ready to take on new clients as of February 1, 2022.
